Setup Launcher¶
The Setup Launcher (/setup-launcher) pairs a setup sheet — a saved, editable table of vehicle and ambient parameters — with a Run Sim control, so you can build up a specific configuration and launch a simulation against exactly that configuration.
Only simulations run from this page use the setup sheet
The setup sheet on this page is not a global override for the rest of the app. It is only applied when you click Run Sim on the Setup Launcher itself.
Simulations started anywhere else — the Lap Time, Cornering, Straight Line, Sweep, Handling, and Ride pages, or re-running a past result — always use your current live vehicle setup, not the setup sheet shown here. Editing or loading a setup sheet in the Setup Launcher has no effect on those simulations.
Overview¶
The page has two parts:
- Setup sheet (left) — a spreadsheet-style grid where each cell can be plain text, a numeric input tied to a vehicle parameter, or a selector that picks a saved component (spring, aero setup, tyre compound, etc.). - Traces (right) — results from simulations launched via this page's Run Sim button appear here automatically.
Running a Simulation from the Setup Launcher¶
- Build or load a setup sheet using the Setup Command Palette at the top-left of the toolbar.
- Click Run Sim in the toolbar. This opens a panel where you choose a simulation mode (Straight Line, Cornering, or Lap Time) and its parameters.
- Clicking the run button inside that panel saves the setup sheet and applies it on top of your vehicle before running — the resulting simulation is tied to that exact setup sheet.
Setup Sheet vs. Live Vehicle¶
Every other "Run Simulation" entry point in the app (the standalone Simulations pages, Sweep configuration, Handling, Ride, Kinematics, and re-running/recreating a past result) launches against whatever is currently your live vehicle and ambient configuration — the same state you see and edit on the Setup pages. It does not read from, or get affected by, any setup sheet open in the Setup Launcher.

If you want a simulation elsewhere in the app to use a particular configuration, load that configuration onto your live vehicle first — via the Setup pages or the Setup Command Palette — rather than editing a setup sheet here.
