Channel Reference

Every per-sample data channel and summary metric available in Trace View, Metrics, and Math Channels, with its unit and meaning. This page is generated directly from the app's own channel definitions, so it always matches what you see in the UI.

Trace Channels

Per-sample channels plotted in Trace View and referenced in Math Channels. defaultUnit is the SI unit the value is stored/calculated in; displayUnit is what the UI shows by default (usually the same, but not always — see the Data Types page for how unit conversion works).

Engine

Channel Unit Description
vCar km/h Vehicle speed
NGear - Selected gear
nEngine RPM Engine RPM
MPowertrain Nm Delivered torque after driveline losses, referenced to the engine shaft. Multiply by rTotalRatio for wheel torque; multiply by nEngine for driveshaft power

PPowertrain kW Delivered power at the driveshafts, after driveline losses — the channel a driveshaft torquemeter is comparable with. Negative off-throttle, where it carries engine braking or regen

Powertrain Control

Channel Unit Description
MPowertrain Nm Delivered torque after driveline losses, referenced to the engine shaft. Multiply by rTotalRatio for wheel torque; multiply by nEngine for driveshaft power
MPowertrainRequested Nm Crank torque the engine had to make to deliver MPowertrain, i.e. MPowertrain divided by ePowertrain. Sits above MPowertrain by the driveline losses
PPowertrain kW Delivered power at the driveshafts, after driveline losses — the channel a driveshaft torquemeter is comparable with. Negative off-throttle, where it carries engine braking or regen
PPowertrainRequested kW Crank power needed to deliver PPowertrain, i.e. PPowertrain divided by ePowertrain. Sits above PPowertrain by the driveline losses, so it is not the channel to compare against a power limit
PPowertrainLimit kW Active driveshaft power limit: the available power, further reduced by an energy-budget cap when one is set
PPowertrainLimitBop kW Balance of Performance power limit — the regulation's driveshaft power cap, reported whether or not it binds. 0 when the car declares no max power. Compare against PPowertrain, not PPowertrainRequested
EDriveTotal MJ Cumulative propulsive wheel energy since lap start, masked to driving segments — this is what an energy budget is compared against, not the integral of PPowertrain
BPushToPassActive - Push-to-pass deployed (1 = boosted engine map active)
tPushToPassTotal s Cumulative push-to-pass deployment time since lap start

Metrics

The Metrics table and sweep results draw from 683 summary statistics — mostly a base trace channel with a suffix describing how it was reduced over the lap. Rather than list all of them (most are mechanical repeats of the same handful of suffixes across every channel), here is the naming convention:

Suffix Meaning (from example) Count Example

58 narrower one-off metrics not listed individually

Mostly speed-bucketed aero lookups (e.g. FDragAtv40 — drag at 40 m/s), per-gear engine speed stats (nEngineInGear3Max), and per-sector splits (rGripSector2Average) — same Base + Qualifier naming pattern, just narrower. Search for a specific one by name in the Metrics table's channel picker.

235 metrics don't map cleanly to a suffix pattern

These are standalone metrics (like lap time or sector splits) rather than a per-channel reduction — see the Metrics page.
